From Death Comes Life

I lost one of my nearest and dearest friends two days ago. And I have to say, I am still in shock over the whole thing.

She was my playmate and best friend for over a decade:

Blustery Day

We had a very windy day here in Omaha yesterday. My husband and I went to a park to take a walk and some pictures--but we had to leave pretty quickly. The wind almost blew us over!!!

I kept super busy yesterday... I made RISOTTO for the first time. Did you know it takes a looooooooooooooooooong time to cook? It's totally worth it though. Yum.

2. My middle name is Çiçek (pronounced CHi-check). It means flower in Turkish.
3. I love apples. My favorite right now is Honeycrisp.
4. I quit my "real" job to run this blog and my etsy.
5. I have a bachelor's degree in British Literature.
6. I was born in Independence, MO. Home of Harry Truman! :D
7. I grew up playing arcade games, because my dad owned a business fixing and selling them. Spy hunter was my favorite.
